Holland® Offers Complete Solutions to Fixed Plant Welding

Holland's fixed plants provide both the personnel and services needed to complete a fixed plant welding project. We currently operate 4 fixed plant welding locations in North America. Each of the four sites is capable of creating long welded strings andFixed Plant Welder loading them on rail trains.

Fixed Plant Welding Process:

  • receiving, taking inventory, inspecting, grading, and cropping the rails
  • rail is polished for electrode contact
  • ends are aligned, heated, flashed, forged together, and sheared in the machine
  • quenched (if necessary)

When the process is finished, the weld is finish ground and inspected for alignment and weld integrity using magnetic particle inspection.  The rail can then be loaded on a rail train.

Holland also offers Rail Train and Unloader Car Leasing services to make your fixed plant welding experience even easier allowing you to load, transport, and unload continuous welded rail quickly and efficiently.
