Rail Gang Welding

Rail can be considered one of the highest valued assets that any railroad possesses.  With the importance of rail's purpose and the amount of rail a railroad has, our customers hold its condition in very high regard.  For this reason, Holland's flash-butt weld has become an integral part of bothRail Gang Welding new and reclaimed rail installation.

By utilizing a Holland® MobileWelder® in front of a rail production gang, rails can be welded together to reclaim smaller pieces of rail into longer length strips.  This can assist the gang with greater productivity gains by installing fewer separate strings while attaining greater footage.

When the Holland® MobileWelder® is employed within the rail production gang consist, the benefits are unmistakable.  Holland's Intelliweld® and Puller-Lite technologies can assist in rail heating and allow for proper rail laying temperature adjustment.  No major rearrangement of equipment is required to include a MobileWelder® in the gang.  When the rail is installed, the job is complete with long strings of Continuous Welded Rail (CWR) and with no mechanical joints to weld later.
