Holland's Rail Pick Up Units are built to be flexible, uni-directional, and versatile. With the ability to handle varying rail train configurations, our Rail Pick Up Units can accomplish any project. The units are capable of loading 2-1600 ft. long CWR rail strings simultaneously. Our Rail Pick Up Units are able to be customized for your individual project.
Holland's standard rail pick up unit consists of:
Consist - 2 Rail Car Consist
- Power Car - 89 foot, 100 ton rail car, 2 rail pushers, 2 diesel engines, 4 threader boxes, 2 winch assemblies, 2 sets of ramp threader boxes, fuel and hydraulic tanks
- Threader Car - 63 foot, 60 ton rail car, 1 knuckle boom crane, 2 telescoping - tilting threader boxes, 1 oxygen and acetylene bottle rack
The Rail Pick Up Unit is capable of loading 90 to 141 lb. rail and can load in any combination up to 6 tiers and 10 rails. The power car's pushers have a pusher squeeze of 72 tons and a thrust force of 56,000 pounds.
